Karia resigned from her position as speaker of the HoF on June 08 just before the HoF delivered the outcome of the much anticipated decision by the Council of Constitutional Inquiry (CCI) on Ethiopia’s deferred election.
By the time..Keria Spoke to the regional media that her resignation was in protest against HoF’s decision to extend the term limit of the incumbent and regional legislatures after the August 2020 general election was postponed. She left for #Mekelle, the capital of #Tigray after her resignation.
